COA Executive Meeting 3-25-05

Call to Order: 1215

Attendance: LCDR Erich Kleinschimdt, President, LT Tim Pappalardo, Treasurer, LCDR Kelly Valente, Secretary ( LTjg Chris Vandertuwyer , Vice President absent)

Items Discussed:

1) April-May-June Membership Meeting

a. Potential Date: April 27, 2005 5pm

b. Place: Erich will look into the Westford Regentry and J.P. O’Hanlon’s

i. Tim will look into Devens RFTA

c. Theme: “Happy Hour”

d. Executive members should brainstorm about possible speakers.

2) July-August- September Membership Meeting

a. Potential Date: July 16, 2005 1pm

b. Potential place : Carpoint Park, Newport NAVSTA, RI

c. Theme: “Picnic”

d. COA will provide Chips and Soda, however membership will have to BYOPB ( Bring your own Picnic Basket)

e. Kelly is attempting to contact ( on numerous occasions) Marty Fellerman the Carpoint Park Contact @401-841-7196

f. Kelly will be making a “Save the Date email” that Erich can send out to membership

3) COA Annual Meeting

a. Erich would like to hold a raffle for the people confirmed going to the meeting to be the COA –NE representative

b. Tim mentioned if depending on the number of people, that confirmed attendees at the membership meeting should get some funding.

c. Decision will be made at the April 27^th membership meeting.

4) COA Foundation Scholarship Donation

a. Erich mentioned that the COA Foundation would like a $250 donation from our chapter. If we make this donation, one of our members will be on the COA Foundation Scholarship committee.

b. Kelly mentioned that at our membership meeting we should ask for donations and then select someone to be on the Scholarship committee for this looks good for promotion.
